Bear Rock Cafe

Update 1/2007: Bear Rock was replaced by a Cosi.

In a word: For what it is (a chain restaurant in a "lifestyle center") it's pretty good.

The specs: #0027
JM ate the Moose with a fountain drink.
Nichole ate the 1/2 Rising Sunflower and Caesar salad with a root beer. We split a slice of Sticky Paws cheesecake.
The bill was $20, or $10/person, plus tip.
JM and Nichole both gave Bear Rock Cafe an A- (see our grading rubric).

Bear Rock is copy-happy - there are cutesy words on everything, from the menus to the cups. It seems like a kid-friendly place. The food is like something you might get in an airport (not an airplane) but a little cheaper. The salad had too much dressing but good croutons. The sammiches were serviceable.

We were in a good mood. It was a sunny Madison moving weekend and we were done moving already.
