Just got a letter from GAMES-My hidden contest entry was picked and I won a t-shirt. (Send us a card . . .) Been trying since the 80's to get one of these-can't get my family to appreciate that, but thought maybe someone here would. Particularly because I came so damn close earlier this year with the tougher hidden contest. I'm getting a jersey holder and framing it!

Well, I certainly appreciate it. I have won money in some of the contests, but I've always strived to win one of the coveted T-shirts. Even though I've ha dcorrect answers on many occasions over the years, I've never been randomly selected. Mucho kudos to you, Kathy.

Way to go Kathy...
Let me know what it looks like...
Speaking of GAMES contests I have a question about a past GAMES contest...
The contest was in a December issue and had a list of questions about events that were to happen over the next year...
One of the questions was "Number of times the word "and" is said in the President's "State of the Union" address...
In January after the contest was over they published the winners and they said a write-up on the questions would appear in a future issue but I have yet to see the write-up...
Did I miss it?...What issue was it in?...

I wish the GAMES folks would expand their T-shirts a bit. I've given all the ones I've picked up to my son, since they fit him a lot better. On me they tend to look like less-than-flattering tank tops... I haven't asked him if anyone's ever commented on the shirts when he's sporting one, it's always seemed like GAMES fanatics were spread kind of thinly through the general population for such a chance encounter to be very likely.

When I won [for COMMON FACTORS] the letter asked
did I want S-M-L. No XL, no XXL? They don't know their demographic very well.
So I squeeze into my shirt now and then and look
like Comic Book Guy on the Simpsons.

I've won from GAMES, GWOP, and I have one that says "Games Premium Puzzles" that is dark green. I think I had 3 or 4 different colors before they seemed to go to Henry Ford's choice. I'm going to have to dig into my storage and find them. (I vaguely recall one was purple!) In the early days I got L, but now XL is more comfortable, and I believe that's always a choice now. Not sure how many I have total, at least 5 or 6 I think. But I've been trying for 25 years.
