« Part VI: Three ZIP Codes = Seven Integers | Main | Part IV: Scramble 1 -- First change of the String »

Part V: Scramble 2 -- Twelve Easy Pieces

Divide the String into 12 equal segments.  Label each with a month, Jan-Dec in order.  Checkpoint: The four intact double letters should be in Jan, Feb, Jun, and Jul.  Reorder months, with String segments attached, according to this cryptogram:

BOOBIQN PICK KOANO NBRY EPOTC UNRBSN UPOCY SKICY KE  ZIPCNA TCBCNT DONTPANIC

Now drop the months and reattach the segments, in the new order, back into a single 132-letter String.

The coded phrase should be bold and underlined, part of the 38 cryptogram words. Somehow the re-formatting stripped those characteristics.

The string has 132 letters, so each of the 12 pieces will contain 11 letters. The crypto reads ARRANGE INTO ORDER EACH FIRST BECAME BIRTH MONTH OF UNITED STATES PRESIDENT. So you assign Jan, Feb, Mar, etc to the 12 pieces in the original order, then rearrange to the order Feb, Oct, Apr, Mar, Jul, Dec, Nov, Jan, Aug, Sep, May, Jun, and then drop the months and rejoin the string, which now shoud read:
