Dork Tower on Ticket to Ride
Today's comic by John Kovalic reveals that Ticket to Ride hooks everyone who plays it, at least in some way. I am immensely proud to say I played John and the lovely and talented Judith in their first-ever game a few weeks ago (unless, of course, they just said that to make us feel cool).

Just the once. They're awesome. John was instrumental in getting Cinepexity rolling.
Hey, don't miss toothpaste for dinner today!

I just read your link to Willy St. Coop "Asshats" Hysterical. Does every co-op have employees with attitudes like that? Mine certainly does. Walk in and buy something and they act like they are doing you a favor by taking your money. I just want to smack em upside the head with a bag of organic peanut butter.

Thanks for that, Elizabeth! It must be universal! That thread is going nuts.
I wrote about my experience with a condescending clerk a while back. Never did hear from the management...I'm going to go get my member fee refunded soon. Lucky for me, between the farmer's market, organic butcher, and big discount grocery (for the "junk" food) I found I just don't have to go to the co-op any more.

I still kind of like Willy St Co-op. I've had my own experiences there, like being chastised by an employee for wearing a Nike shirt, but I find it mostly entertaining. I went into Whole Foods for the first time ever this week. The woman in line in front of me said my eyes look just like John Roberts', to which I replied "Who's John Roberts." She was exasperated, and chastized me for not being a proper citizen or some such thing. That's the downside of getting all my information from a single media source--you know where. Also the downside of self-righteous progressive Madisonians in health food stores. The thing about these self-righteous health-food types, you have to admit, is that sometimes they are actually right!
