“Canadian Sunset” is the kind of instrumental would, even two or three years later, be incomprehensible. Of course, Hugo Winterhalter and Eddie Heywood (two swinging cats for sure) actually do very good and rousing version of this song. And the high lilt on the strings coupled with the gentle but firm piano lead to a pretty decent song (much, much better than the lyrical version Andy Williams will be hacking up in a couple of weeks.) Of course, does this kind of song really belong in a pop anthology like this? Dum… dun-dum-de-dum. Dee dah, duh duh duh DAAAAA.
