Sorry, Ken. This is another blast of early disco that showed its promise to be both a cool dance type of music, but also a raucous sing along complete with call and response vocals and this song finishes the job started by Get Down Tonight. The trajectory of pop music was changed from MOR AC tracks to disco inflected pop. Sadly, in the overproduction that followed disco became too slick and soulless as opposed to a fun sing a long with a steady beat. Couple that with the rise of the moody Moog and you've got the end of disco pop. But briefly, there was this new sound, the sound of dance and youth, and that's the way I like it. (Uh huh).
Coming up: #64 -"No principals, no student-teachers"
Uh huh. That call and response is so fun when you really get into the groove.
