Amen to that... Pulp was great for the up an comers because it was one of those films that, while not earth shatteringly amazing, did give us a few directorial innovations, as well as a sophomoric dialogue pattern our dumb-ass generation could "get down with". Gump, on the other-hand, was more a sweet little tale that set a new bench mark for under the radar special effects... I'm not sure our parents really appreciated that aspect... well, my Dad did, but that's besides the point... Now Shawshank... without major innovations in either visuals or script, was just a good piece of film. Sometimes it's the simple things that work the best... just like in the kitchen. And, let us not forget; it was a Stephen King movie!!!

I don't believe anyone has ever really agreed with me that much on a post. Thanks!
